UGent and VIB researchers housed in new state-of-the-art biotech infrastructure

Ghent University and the Flanders Interuniversity Institute for Biotechnology (VIB) have today officially opened their new research building in the Ardoyen Science Park in Zwijnaarde (Ghent).

The “Fiers-Schell-Van Montagu research building” − named for three renowned Ghent University biotechnology pioneers − is now the new workplace for over 300 scientists and co-workers from the two institutions.

Onderzoekers UGent en VIB in nieuwe biotechnologische topinfrastructuur

Vandaag, maandag 24 november 2003, openen de Universiteit Gent en het Vlaams Interuniversitair Instituut voor Biotechnologie (VIB) officieel hun nieuw onderzoeksgebouw op het Wetenschapspark Ardoyen in Zwijnaarde. Dit gebouw, het “Fiers-Schell-Van Montagu onderzoeksgebouw”, met een totale oppervlakte van 23.195m² is sinds kort de nieuwe werkplaats van ruim 300 wetenschappers en medewerkers van beide instellingen.
